Daniel Hernandez for Congress (AZ)

In 2011, Daniel Hernandez was interning for Congresswoman Gabby Giffords when the unthinkable happened: a mass shooter opened fire at a town hall, first targeting Congresswoman Giffords before taking the lives of six people and injuring eighteen others. Hernandez stayed on scene with Congresswoman Giffords, where he tended and applied pressure to her wounds. Hernandez was later rightfully credited with helping to save her life. Five years later in 2016, Hernandez was elected to the Arizona legislature as the state representative for AZ’s 2nd District.

In July 2021, Hernandez announced he was running for US Congress with this long form biographical video. It went viral online, garnering over 500,000 organic views across platforms.
