Governor Katie Hobbs
While I produced a wide range of media for the first half of Governor Katie Hobbs’ campaign, I’ve always loved this piece. Taking its cues from archival-based documentary work, it weaves a compelling tale about the 2021 Arizona recount and Hobbs’ motivation for running for Arizona’s highest office.
In a race where polling was all over the place — including many prognosticators tipping the election in Kari Lake’s favor in the days leading up to the election — Hobbs prevailed 50.3% to 49.7%, with 1.287 million votes cast in her favor. Great work by team A|L, who produced some hard-hitting and fantastic work that helped make the difference in one of the more contentious elections in recent memory.
